People in S. Korea do the same to dogs. I thought it was disgusting. I love dogs as companions. I have a friend who is in S. Korea right now who told me that they have a breed of dog that they raise strictly for food. Just like livestock. I don't know if they can't get different meat or what. I would have to become a vegetarian.
I personally would never eat a dog or cat. HOWEVER, don't people in mexico, europe, and other parts of the world eat Horses and stuff and nobody really bats an eyelash at that? Cultural differences suck sometimes. Its weird, its unwanted for some, and thankfully I live in a place where its not part of my culture.
Um, I'm Mexican and I've never seen people eat horse, but I used to open the freezer to see a cow head looking right back at me. What I've seen people do is eat almost every part of a farm animal, including liver, tongue, feet, brain, heart, and other stuff that was always in my food that I decided never to try. XD
Ahhh I'm from Alaska and I watch animal planet all the time and I see them "saving" horses from illegal mexican slaughter houses >_> So I dont know FOR SURE but that's what they're implying (?) I mean, if they do eat horse down there I'm not judging. I eat beef (of course) and moose and caribou and buffalo and other things like that. You know? Im just going off of knowledge I've gained from television.
